How to Install a Bidet Set

Bidets and washing toilets are an excellent idea increasingly used when arranging a modern bathroom. The variety of solutions in this area allows for finding the perfect solution tailored to the needs of each client. If you are considering buying a bidet but are hesitant because you are not quite sure how to install it, familiarize yourself with our tips.

Choose the Right Bidet Set

If you have decided to purchase a bidet and bidet faucet, you need to think about which type of device will work best in your bathroom. You can choose, for example, standing bidets that are installed like a compact toilet directly on the floor or wall-hung sets on a frame. The choice you make largely depends on the size of the room where you plan to install it. It is also worth paying attention to existing connections, as this will allow you to choose the right installation location for the set.

In the case of a small toilet, where there is a sink and a toilet bowl, there may sometimes be no room for a traditional bidet. In such a situation, a modern washing toilet with a bidet function or a functional bidet set, consisting of a bidet spray connected to a long hose, could also work well. It is used with the toilet bowl located in the toilet. It is also worth adding that installing a bidet set can be done in about an hour and does not require special skills.

How to Install a Wall-Hung Bidet Set?

A wall-hung bidet set requires being mounted on a solid frame directly on the wall. The entire set, including the bowl and faucet, is hung on it, unless the faucet is integrated with the bidet. The first step in installing the bidet is determining the height at which it will be hung. It is best to install it at the level of existing bathroom fixtures, namely the toilet bowl. Of course, you cannot forget to maintain the appropriate distances between the bowls, which ensures convenient access to both bathroom fixtures.

A very important aspect during the installation of the bidet is properly preparing the connections; the bidet should be installed near the water supply pipes, preferably using the existing angle valve supplying cold water and the necessary water bends for the bidet to function correctly. A wall-hung bidet does not require dealing with a tank mounted at the appropriate height, as is the case with the installation of a compact toilet. The next step will be to install the siphon and bidet faucet. The installation requires temporarily shutting off the water supply, but if you have the necessary key and other tools, you will quickly manage the water connection and installation of the entire device.

Instead of a traditional bidet, you can opt for a bidet toilet seat. The installation will involve unscrewing the existing connection - the hose to the sink, screwing in the supplied tee, and reattaching the hoses to the bidet seat, and it's ready.

How to Install a Bidet Set of the Bidetta Type?

In small bathrooms, many people cannot install a traditional bidet but do not want to give up this convenience. In such a situation, installing a bidet kit that you can install without any problems will be an excellent solution. All you need is a standard toilet and the existing connection - the hose with an integrated bidet handle is attached to the wall mount, and it's ready.

You connect the hose with the durable bidet handle to the hot water valve, and this way, you get a multifunctional hygiene center. If you have an unused angle valve nearby, which was previously used for connecting a washing machine, you can also use it. Just unscrew the existing angle valve and remove the old hose, and in its place, install the DIAM with the integrated bidet handle.

The bidet that you can install by yourself allows not only for necessary hygiene activities but also has many other practical applications. The long hose that the bidet handle is equipped with allows for rinsing reusable diapers, conveniently cleaning the toilet bowl, washing the floor, etc. With the help of the detachable bidet handle, it is also possible to fill a bucket with cold water and many other activities that are impossible to perform using a traditional bidet faucet. The main advantages, alongside functionality, are the installation - easy and takes really little time.
