Shower tray installation - what do you need to remember?

In many homes, only a shower cabin is used. This means that it is the only suitable solution to simultaneously obtain space and a place for bathing in a small bathroom. Note that there are currently many models of shower trays available, including semicircular ones, which work perfectly in small rooms. Its significant advantage is undoubtedly its characteristic shape. Therefore, for example, a semicircular shower tray from the Polish manufacturer Mexen can easily be installed in a corner. Its construction can be complemented by a straight corner that fits perfectly into that spot in the bathroom.

Moreover, before installing a shower tray, plan exactly where you will place it. The same applies to essential elements such as siphon, drain, and pipes that make up the sewage system. Remember to carefully read all the instructions contained in the manufacturer's manual just before starting the work. Of course, before you start installing the shower tray, prepare the area where it and the shower cabin will stand. The way it is positioned is also important. Will the tray stand on legs, or will you designate a place for it directly on the floor?

What is needed to install a semicircular shower tray?

If you want your shower tray to be installed in a durable and proper manner, you need to use materials specifically designed for this installation. Therefore, prepare seals, installation glue, siphon, silicone, and drain pipes. Don’t forget about the sewage system; at this stage, you can eliminate any leaks or deficiencies that have occurred in the created set. Later, this will be almost impossible to accomplish. If you have doubts whether everything is prepared, read what the instruction says, or ask the manufacturer directly if necessary.

In the case of using legs for the installation of the shower tray, check what exactly is included in the set. Additionally, check the technical condition of the covering panel, which will help you conceal the unsightly space created between the shower tray and the floor. Make sure you have all the brackets required to position the panel and check the condition of the legs. Thanks to this preparation, you will gain confidence that the installation of the shower tray and cabin will proceed quickly and smoothly.
