Sustainable Solutions

It is being increasingly and more clearly stated about the necessity of saving water and energy from non-renewable sources. Bathroom equipment manufacturers have also started to pay attention to this trend and strive to use appropriate materials for the production of fittings, ceramics, and other bathroom finishing elements. These solutions are friendly not only to the environment but also to the wallet. Appropriately selected and installed bathroom devices allow significant savings in energy and water while maintaining high functionality. Nowadays, it is quite easy to apply ecological alternatives in your own bathroom without losing comfort. A trend that has been popular in Scandinavian countries for years is also increasingly appearing in our country.

Saving Water at the Tap

Water is a limited resource, it seems unlikely, but ecologists are increasingly saying that the amount of drinking water available to the world's population is drastically decreasing. Each of us consumes a lot of water every day, mainly due to hygiene activities. One of the simpler solutions that anyone can implement today is to switch from a bath to a quick shower. This way, you can significantly reduce water consumption; you can also turn off the tap while soaping and turn it on again for rinsing, or use a tap that automatically turns off the water after a programmed time. If you cannot give up the luxury of a bath, it is worth choosing a smaller, well-profiled model, using slightly less water, and primarily giving up daily lounging in warm water.

Modern Bathroom Taps

While brushing teeth or shaving, we should also remember to turn off the water; this should be natural. Solutions such as automatic taps that activate by a sensor and automatically cut off the water flow assist in this regard. Similarly, taps with convenient, elongated handles that can be operated, for example, with the elbow. This solution is great not only for people with reduced manual dexterity but also when we have, for example, soapy hands.

Standard solutions used in most sink taps and showerheads, such as aerators that enrich the outgoing water with air, also help save a significant amount of water. The use of thermostatic taps minimizes the waiting time for water at the right temperature. Ceramic cartridges used in modern bathroom taps allow precise regulation not only of the stream but also of the water temperature. Similarly, with temperature limiters, which allow reducing the energy usage for heating water while also preventing accidentally scalding with too hot water.

Eco-friendly Toilet

When using the toilet, we aim for the highest hygiene standards as our health depends on it. Toilet manufacturers, listening to customer expectations, are releasing newer flushing systems that save water while maintaining excellent functionality. For example, most tanks are equipped with a dual flush button that allows the user to decide how much water is needed for flushing the toilet at the moment. The most popular solutions are 2/4 or 3/6 - only as much water as is necessary to effectively clean the toilet. This way, it's easy to save water consumption and thus money.

An increasing number of manufacturers offer rimless bowls. This solution allows for quick cleaning of the entire toilet surface. The absence of crevices where limescale accumulates or bacteria might hide means that there is no need for large amounts of aggressive cleaning agents. This results in fewer sewage pollutants. Similar technological solutions are used in bidets and urinals. Instead of a rim, a flat surface is used, easy to keep clean. Additionally, in urinals, systems are increasingly used that allow flushing with only 0.5 liters of water, or even without water.

There are even solutions that combine a low flush with a sink. A tap is mounted on top, and the water used for hand washing flows into the tank and is used for flushing the toilet. This is undoubtedly an idea worth promoting.

Let's Save Electricity

Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a bathroom with a window. In many cases, unfortunately, every visit to the bathroom involves turning on the light. The more people, the higher the costs. However, you can try to reduce them by using suitable ecological and wallet-friendly solutions. First, it is worth changing traditional bulbs to LED lamps. They provide equally good light and require much less electricity. Spot lighting is a good idea, especially near the mirror.

Additionally, when equipping the bathroom with appliances such as a washing machine, clothes dryer, and small electric household devices, it is worth remembering to choose energy-efficient products. Their purchase pays off very quickly, and the impact on the environment is less compared to traditional appliances.

Eco Cleaning

The bathroom and toilet are places where we pay special attention to maintaining hygienic cleanliness. However, it is worth remembering that an excess of cleaning agents can contribute to environmental loading. Products containing aggressive chemicals clean perfectly but at the same time threaten nature. Additionally, they can cause allergic reactions in household members; too much cleaning chemistry can lead to skin rash, headaches, or even persistent coughing. Therefore, it is worth choosing mild cleaning agents based on natural ingredients. Nowadays, it's very easy to find cleaning products for bathroom fixtures or laundry powders with simple compositions and excellent performance on the market. Besides, you can always resort to our grandmothers' ways and clean the bathroom using vinegar and soda. The bathroom may not smell enchanting, but the awareness that you are not contributing to environmental pollution while cleaning is priceless.
