For many of us, the bathroom is a sacred space where we relax and even spend a lot of time caring for our bodies. However, for others, such "luxuries" are unnecessary, and they don’t need anything in the bathroom beyond what is required for basic personal hygiene. Different needs and different levels of those needs - how can they be met?
Should we let our imagination go wild, or do what common sense dictates?
We ask ourselves these types of questions on average once a day, not only in this but in every aspect of our lives. The bathroom is somewhat easier because there should only be items related to keeping our body clean. But should that somehow limit us?
The shower and all related items are the foundation of every bathroom, not only for those of us who are fans of this form of hygiene. When summer comes, we all have to admit that the lightness of a shower over sitting in hot water during heatwaves is much more pleasant, so we try to ensure that all items in our bathroom are as well-maintained and in the best technical condition as possible. Consequently, we need products that are easy to clean and do not harbor bacteria. But where can we find them? There is only one option - we have to pay for them, investing in a decent product, which blurs the main issue: is it better to let our imagination go wild or to be guided by reason?
The truth is one thing, and thought is another
We often think that expensive, more modern items are not necessary. If what we have is good, why change it? Many people ask such questions, but if you think more deeply about this reasoning, it is not as obvious as it seems.
The main problem with such thinking is the lack of attention to the consequences, which are always present, but we do not pay attention to them. Everything depends on how "minimalist" our bathroom is and how long ago its elements were replaced. The older the equipment, the more water, electricity, and even gas it consumes, not to mention that by avoiding the purchase of important elements, we create problems for ourselves because by scrimping on them (thinking they are unnecessary) instead of using their potential, we lose it.
Another issue is our perception of "luxury" - it means something different for everyone: for some, it's expensive equipment and opulence, for others, it might be mid-range items with attractive accessories that make everything more cozy. In truth, the term "luxury" has many meanings, and it's worth understanding what it means to others.
Heart and mind - can they somehow come to an understanding?
Of course, they can, if when buying your dream shower and related items, you consider all possibilities, keeping a few important and really essential aspects in mind:
- What the shower is made of (whether it has a coating that makes it easier to keep clean) and how much water and energy it consumes.
- What elements it consists of and whether all are truly necessary for us.
- How much it costs and whether we can afford it overall.
These three points are the basis of understanding between both sides, and by sticking to them, we will surely find something that meets the requirements between what we want and what we really need.
