Modern bathroom with a bidet tap

The trends that govern the decor of contemporary bathrooms are constantly changing. What was unheard of a few years ago is now slowly becoming standard. This is the case, for example, with bidets. A bidet enriches the visual aspect of the room, is an extremely practical device, and ensures increased comfort and hygiene for household members. A bidet can resemble a well-known and trusted bathroom tap with a component that enhances the composition of bathroom ceramics.

Bidet tap - bidetta, i.e., space-saving

For owners of smaller bathrooms, we have good news - for smaller spaces where the bidet bowl cannot fit, there is another solution - the so-called bidetta. It is a specific single-lever bidet tap, in which the water stream is turned on and off with a button on the handle. Just connect such a tap to the washbasin near the toilet for it to serve as a full-fledged bidet. Typically, the bidetta head is at the end of a flexible hose about 140/160 cm long. Such a bidet tap is extremely functional and practical - for every bathroom!

The bidetta has many advantages worth mentioning a few here:

  • easy installation - bidetta can be easily mounted to an existing washbasin tap;
  • increases the level of hygiene and facilitates washing intimate parts without needing a bidet - saves space, no longer requiring a bidet bowl;
  • significantly increases bathroom functionality - serves not only for intimate hygiene but also for rinsing items like a mop or shoes over the toilet.

The advantage of the bidetta is undoubtedly its versatility. It is a bidet tap that helps considerably with daily housekeeping tasks. Household members appreciate the ease of filling a bucket with water or quickly rinsing a dirty item. Of course, whether it's worth investing in bidet taps or a bidetta is an individual matter. Opinions on this topic are divided. Both options need to be installed near the toilet bowl.

Installing a bidet shouldn't be problematic. It is mounted directly on the wall, then it will have a hose with a tap. There are even more versatile and simpler installation options. Then a bidetta takes the form of a flexible hose with a handset, which connects directly to the washbasin. Bidettas are gaining popularity, especially among owners of smaller bathrooms and those who value convenience. With a bidet, you need to get off the toilet and crouch over the bidet bowl to wash thoroughly. A bidetta allows skipping this action and significantly shortening the process, meaning you can use the toilet and wash in practically one place.

Standard bidet tap

Increasingly, bathroom users are also choosing a bidet tap. The bidet is located near the washbasin and other bathroom fittings. Therefore, it should complement these elements. It shouldn't differ significantly in style, and as experience shows, standard, already proven solutions work best. Bidet taps can resemble traditional taps, but there is one element that sets them apart - the tip with an aerator. It allows control of the water stream in any direction. It's a nod to convenience, allowing for effective intimate washing. On the market, two types of bidet taps stand out: single-lever and with two handles. Usually, each manufacturer of these elements offers both options. The best solution is to buy the washbasin and bidet fittings in one store to ensure aesthetic coherence.

Classic solutions – bidet taps

They usually work well in most bathrooms but are essential for spaces with classic or modern glamour style arrangements. Classic bidet taps are covered with chrome steel, ensuring durability and longevity. Moreover, they give the whole a beautiful, aesthetic finish. A significant advantage of a chrome bidet tap is its ease of cleaning. Moreover, such an item will be resistant to water contact and will not lose its sheen over the years. Classic solutions often use cork regulators, sometimes also a drain plug. This can be unplugged or plugged with an additional lever, significantly facilitating bidet use.

The chrome steel color matches the rest of the bathroom fixtures and mirrors finished in high-gloss silver or gold. An alternative to classic solutions can be minimalist bidet taps. In this case, they will have geometric shapes, usually. Simple angular shapes will perfectly complement bathrooms maintained in the Scandinavian style and muted wall colors, such as white or grey.
