Shower without a tray?

Walk-in shower cabins and linear drains fit perfectly into modern interior bathroom finishing trends. Such a shower is not only a practical and functional solution but also aesthetic and impressive. The water drain is aligned with the level of the floor tiles - we don't have a standard high tray with a round siphon here. This makes the walk-in safe for both small children and people with disabilities or health problems that prevent them from lifting their legs high. Square linear drains are perfect for smaller bathrooms, as their size of 15x15 cm fits exceptionally well into any shower cabin. All linear drain manufacturers especially warn potential users to pay attention during installation to the fact that to install a linear drain, a slight slope needs to be prepared towards the water drain. Besides that, the installation of the device itself is relatively easy.

Linear drain - some technical information

The material from which the products are made is very durable stainless steel type AISI 304. The throughput of 50 l/min will always allow you to shower in peace, without any fear that the water will spill throughout the bathroom. The range of linear drains offered by Mexen for installation in floors is very wide. They begin with small square drains of size 12 cm up to impressive rectangular drains with a length of up to 200 cm. The complete set includes:

  • Double-sided cover with damping spacers and a removal hook,
  • Removable dirt filter
  • Siphon that blocks unpleasant odors,
  • Water drainage channel
  • 50/40 mm reduction,
  • Sealing sleeve.
