Before you begin modernization work, determine the mounting height of the fixture elements. According to the principles of ergonomics, the shower tap should be set a little over a meter from the floor or the shower tray (preferably at a height of 120 cm), and the rain shower head - a little over 20 cm from the user's head. Considering that more than one person may use the shower, it is worth placing this element 25 cm above the tallest household member's head. Note! If there is a shower tray in the shower area, consider its height and subtract it from the total height that separates the water outlet from the floor.

How to install a set with a shower tap and rain shower head?

The first stage of work is to mount the shower tap in the wall - fortunately, the procedure is much simpler than in the case of a concealed shower tap. Turn off the water flow to the installation and remove the caps from the pipes. Then proceed to seal the eccentric connectors, or the angle connections connecting the shower tap to the water inlets. For this purpose, use hemp or linen fiber, sealing thread, or Teflon tape. Remember, however, that if you use fibers, you must additionally secure them with a sealing paste.

After performing the indicated activities, you can proceed to tighten the eccentric connectors to the threads on the pipes. To ensure that the connections form a right angle with the wall surface, use a spirit level. Remember that both connections must be aligned in line and at a distance similar to that which separates the nuts on the shower tap.

Installing the exposed shower tap - placing the rosettes

Once you fit the shower tap to the connections, place the rosettes on the eccentric connectors and tighten them well. Then use gaskets with a filter - insert them into the shower tap mounting nuts and connect the shower tap with the angle connections. Proper execution of this procedure will allow you to place the shower tap in the correct position of the shower cabin. The final step is to securely tighten the shower tap to ensure stable positioning of the fittings. Wrap the nut with a piece of cloth, and then tighten it with a wrench to avoid accidental damage. Before you start using the system, allow water to enter the installation and check that the shower tap does not leak.

Installing the rain shower head - how to install the shower in the bathroom?

When you have already installed the shower tap with a handset in the shower cabin, you can proceed to install the flat shower tap. Shower panels usually consist of several elements that require stable connection. First, place the gasket and tighten the rain shower head to the pipe included in the set. After removing the nut from the other end of the pipe, place on it the mounting elements included with the rain shower head. Before attaching the water supply pipe to the rain shower head, you must determine the location of the installation elements.

Remove the caps from the connection part and apply them to the indicated places. The whole procedure seems simple if you mark the places of application, e.g., with a pencil. The next step is to drill holes for screws that will allow you to attach the pipe to the wall. When you're done, insert the dowels, tighten the plastic caps with screws, attach the mounting parts, and tighten the pipe. That's it, you can now enjoy an extremely functional solution, the installation of which was not particularly troublesome, right?
