A60 bulbs in bathroom

Characteristics of the modern A60 bulb

The designation A60 refers to the geometry of the light source. The letter “A” refers to the classic bulb shape, which provides an even, wide angle of light in all directions. The number “60” refers to the maximum diameter of the bulb, which is 60 mm. The standard height of an A60 bulb usually ranges from 105-115 mm, therefore it fits most fixtures intended for general lighting.

In the European market, the A60 format almost always comes with an E27 screw base with a diameter of 27 mm. This makes the A60 bulb used in ceiling fixtures, pendant lamps, wall lights, floor, and desk lamps. The standard dimensions eliminate the risk of collision with the fixture housing or lampshade.

A60 E27 Bulbs: Light sources for universal application

A60 bulbs are designed as light sources for primary lighting, evenly illuminating the entire room. In modern installations, LED A60 bulb variants dominate, offering a wide range of user parameters and contributing to lower electricity consumption. The typical power range is from 3 to 15 W, corresponding to a luminous flux of about 400 to 1600 lumens.

The color temperature of the light allows for precise adjustment of the lighting character to the room. For example, warm white (approx. 2700 K) works well in relaxation areas, neutral color in kitchens and hallways, and white light (up to approx. 6400 K) in work spaces. The bulbs we offer have a high color rendering index, which allows for the natural colors of the surroundings to be reflected. A60 bulbs with a neutral light color remain the most predictable choice in the general lighting category.
