In the Mexen Luxpro and Luxpro+ series, 10W LED floodlights are used for lighting technical entrances, outdoor stairs, building numbers, narrow passages, or parts of facades requiring spot lighting. In such places, a higher lamp power not only does not enhance comfort but also causes blinding or unnecessary energy loss. 10W allows you to clearly mark the utility area with a vivid light beam without interfering with the entire surrounding space.
The key role here is the control of the lighting direction. With the low power, a 10W floodlight can be set very precisely, directing it exactly at a step, door, or communication route. Thanks to this, it serves as an orientation and safety measure, improving visibility after dusk without the "spotlight effect". In such cases, a 6000K or higher color temperature LED floodlight (bright, cold, and well illuminating shaded areas) will work very well.
10W LED floodlights are also often chosen as part of automatic systems, especially models from Mexen with motion sensors. A brief illumination upon movement detection is enough to safely cover a certain stretch or locate the entrance without the need for stronger LED diodes. This solution is particularly valued in places where the light is turned on frequently, but only for a short time. In such locations, lighting fixtures emitting a continuous light stream would unnecessarily consume electrical energy.
Low power directly translates into energy savings and minimal operating costs. A 10W LED floodlight with a cool color, ideal for outdoor applications, can operate regularly, even daily, without noticeable impact on electricity consumption. Therefore, this LED floodlight variant works as a complement to larger lighting installations where precision, discretion, and efficiency are important, not the amount of light.
