Which undercounter basins to choose?

Designing a small utility space requires special care when choosing fixtures. Oversized basins can overwhelm the interior and make it seem visually smaller. Undercounter basins are an ideal solution for those seeking classic products with a minimalist design. The greatest advantage of these products is their ease of cleaning. The presence of rims reduces the problem of water splashing on the furniture housing, which is particularly important when installing wooden furniture. It is also worth noting that the bowl, hidden under the counter, is less prone to mechanical damage. The lack of crevices means that dirt does not settle in hard-to-reach places. If you are not convinced by the aesthetics of basins fully integrated into the counter, you can opt for a basin whose edge is raised above the counter to a certain height. Such products are called partially undercounter and are similar to basins mounted flush with the counter or beneath it.

Undercounter basins for small bathrooms

The choice of a basin for a small bathroom largely depends on its dimensions. Basin sizes start at about 40 cm, but there are also much smaller models, e.g., with a width of 35 cm. The largest basins can reach even 100 cm, however, the most commonly chosen products are basins measuring 55-60 cm. Such a size allows for a compromise between the space needed for installation and the convenience of use. If you opt for universal solutions, ceramics will be the perfect choice - a durable yet aesthetic material. The color white remains popular, although more and more customers are leaning towards black or sand-colored basins. When choosing a basin to be mounted in the counter, remember to consider the issue of matching the faucet. Sometimes the hole for the faucet is in the fixture, but many people choose to install the fixtures in the wall or on the counter. In such a case, Mexen offers models without holes. Check out our offer and choose other necessary products for installation, such as a siphon or connectors. Choose our undercounter basins, and your bathroom interior will gain new brightness!
