Bathroom Radiators - The Most Popular Models
Available bathroom radiators can be divided into three categories based on the type of power supply. Among them, one can distinguish: water radiators, electric radiators, and water-electric radiators. The first category, i.e., water radiators, operate solely with the building's heating system. They are powered by hot water or liquid flowing through horizontal pipes. They are most commonly chosen for bathrooms.
The second category of bathroom radiators, characterized by a different power supply, are electric radiators. These models are equipped with a heater, which also determines their heating power. Thus, their operation is completely independent of central heating. This type of radiator is often used to heat a room during winter. They can sometimes be plugged into an electrical outlet to avoid complicated installation and can be stored in a basement during summer to save space.
The last type of radiators, which combine characteristics of the two previously mentioned models, are water-electric radiators. They can be powered by both central heating and a heater when plugged in. This option is very convenient because, in the event of a power failure, the radiator will not turn off. If the building's heating system fails, the radiator will still have an alternative power source. This way, one can avoid a cold room regardless of the breakdown.
